System Backups
Systems are regularly backed up according to set schedules and frequencies. Seven days' worth of backups are maintained for each database, ensuring that restoration is straightforward if needed.
Backups are monitored to confirm successful execution, with alerts triggered if any issues occur. If a backup fails, the alert is escalated, investigated, and resolved. Data is backed up daily to the local region, and replication failures are monitored and addressed accordingly.
Physical Backup Storage
As we use public cloud services for hosting, backup, and recovery, Genius does not rely on physical infrastructure or storage media for its products. We do not typically produce or utilize physical media (e.g., paper, tape) in the provision of our services.
Backup Protections
By default, all backups are safeguarded through access control restrictions and write-once, read-many (WORM) protections within the Genius product infrastructure networks. Additionally, access control lists are implemented on the file systems that store the backup files.
Customer Data Backup Restoration
Customers of Genius do not have direct access to the product infrastructure to initiate failover events. Disaster recovery and resiliency operations are managed by the Genius product engineering team. However, customers can use the recycle bin to recover and restore contacts, opportunities, custom fields, custom values, tags, notes, and tasks within 30 days of deletion. Changes to web pages, blog posts, or emails can be reverted to previous versions using version history. For customers seeking additional backup options, the Genius platform offers various methods to ensure data is securely stored.
The Genius portal includes several features with export options, and the public API library can be used to synchronize data with other systems.
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated policy on our platform with the revised effective date.
